Traveling to a new destination for a vacation can be fun and exciting, but also a little stressful. There are plenty of things to consider in the process of planning the travel itinerary and finding the best possible deals. Let's take a look at a few of the options to help control costs on your next travel adventure:

Travel off-season

A simple solution to get the best prices on travel and the hotel is to travel off-season (also reported to as low season). Beyond the best prices for flights and a luxury hotel or resort, there will be a lot less crowds to interrupt the sightseeing tours. For instance, a trip to Europe can be delayed until September for the low-cost travel experience and the weather is still quite favorable in most parts.

Be flexible with flights

An indirect flight can take longer to arrive at the intended destination, but a flight with a stopover often leads to the most cost-effective travel option. Also, the day you fly can have a noticeable impact on the price. In most cases, a midweek flight will save a lot of money for a family vacation compared to flying at the weekend. Simply making a few minor changes like this can save literally hundreds of dollars.

Avoid high baggage fees

Make sure to weigh the luggage before leaving home to avoid the often over-inflated charges associated with excluding the baggage limit.

If any extra items are left over with no space in the main luggage, there are plenty of ways to get creative by using a decent hand-luggage bag or even a luggage jacket. A stylish and practical luggage jacket is much like a normal jacket, but gives the extra room to conveniently pack in a few extra items to help control baggage charges.

Avoid the most popular places

A simple strategy to cut costs is to avoid the most popular places. For instance, a European city like Paris can be so expensive, but there are other great alternatives that can be just as charming, such as Athens and Budapest. Alternately, a trip to Costa Rica is typically quite pricey, but a neighboring country like Nicaragua may be a more attractive option.

Book last-minute

Booking last-minute can help to score a great deal in certain areas of the travel market. While it is not likely to be helpful with airfare costs, there are plenty of tours and cruises that give great discounts if able to leave things very late. An empty ship or tour is never a good thing, so these companies will do whatever is necessary to bring in extra customers. Typically, the booking needs to be left until one or two weeks before the departure date to get the price discounts.

We travel to explore the world, to satisfy our souls with different cultural experiences, and food is a major part of it. However, when we travel, budget is an important consideration, and more than often we tend to focus the budget more on transportation and accommodation and forget all about food. Believe it or not, a majority of us does not want to accept that we binge. Keeping a tab at what we spend while traveling can be cumbersome at times but not knowing how much you spend on food might create issues in your future travels and plans. Here are some great tips on how to save money on food while traveling:

1. Research, Research, and Research

In today's digitally advanced world where the globe is well connected, everything can be done at a click of a button. You can do a wide spread research on Google and compare hotel prices on different travel websites. Also call all the short listed hotels to check if they give complimentary breakfasts. The complimentary breakfast can vary from country to country. Where some destinations keep it simple, others will have a lavish spread. There is a timing for these complimentary breakfast after which it will be closed. Here make it a point to be there on time. You can also carry some dry items to your room which you can pack and carry it with you as snack for when you go out to visit places.

2. Watch out for those Discounts

Many restaurants and bars have a variety of deals to offer on weekdays as crowd inflow will be less, and hike their prices during the weekend when the inflow will be more. Also in many places dinner is the most expensive meal of the day, since you can opt for breakfast or lunch. Watch out for those happy hour men and half price appetizers offered at the bars.

3. Opt for Hotels with Kitchen in the Room

This is good for those who are traveling for a few weeks or months. If you opt for a room with kitchen in the hotel you are put up at, you can cook the meals yourself and save a lot of money. You can use disposable plates and cutlery or carry a reusable one with you. Do check with the hotel before booking the room, if the kitchen in the room is equipped with refrigerator, microwave, and utensils.

4. Local Shops and Farmers Market

You could get best and fresh food at low prices in the local shops and local farmers market. Fresh seasonally available fruits and vegetables as well as canned food. If you go to supermarkets, you probably might end up paying more for the same stuff. While traveling for a longer period of time, you need to take care of your health too, since fresh fruits and vegetables and meals are cooked by self are the best choice.

5. Ask the Locals

Do not ask the hotel people to guide you to a cheap place to eat, they will in turn send you to some place from which they can benefit by referring you. Instead ask local people on the street or cab drivers who can guide you to a cheap place to eat. Also best place to eat is where there are colleges, as eateries near colleges are usually designed for students and the price will be marked down.

6. Inquire about Discounts

In many places senior citizens, students, people from military background, and some professionals like firefighters, police officers, teachers, etc. are entitled to discount which you may not even know. There is no harm in inquiring once.

7. Check for Deals

There are several great websites that offer daily deals and coupons like Groupon, Yelp Deals, Living Social, etc. which you can use to save money.

8. Drink in Moderation

Although many opt out of drinking alcohol to save money, drinking in moderation will help you save money. Many breweries and wineries offer free samples or could take a minimum fees. Opting for all-inclusive packages on cruise is a wise idea.

This list of money saving ideas while traveling is to be continued next week. We hope these will help in your future travels.

A vacation is not wallet comfortable, but certainly is a fascinating idea. As you add the hotels cost, admission to attractions and meals out, it is highly expensive. Are you considering inexpensive options? It is possible. Traveling to tourist places is best on knowing the budget. Choose a hotel after booking a flight; create an itinerary and budget that you wish to spend.

To begin with, the transportation costs include visiting places and getting around the city. The cab fares and the costs of public transportation should be considered. Even if you drive, the parking is not free and the downtown parking is limited, while at your hotel also there is no free parking.

Secondly, the accommodations take the biggest chunk. Start to shop within your budget. However, now that you have come on a vacation and are the adventurous type means consider Airbnb, as alternatives.

This is followed by food on vacation and there are amazing food choices in tourist places. Consider the price points at the restaurants and select accordingly. Likewise, the attractions are not without admission fee and it varies with each attraction. Research on attractions and determine that matches your budget. Every city has upscale retailers to locally owned shops to unique shops and Magnificent Mile. Shopping in the city means set away money.

Even if you calculate the expenses in total and consider the budget, do leave a buffer amount for unexpected outlays popping up suddenly. Stick to the budget, try paying ahead for admission and minimize your spending.

Timing your trip is more important though there are budget-friendly activities in through the year. There are some discounts that are high on hotels and transportation. The busiest time is during summer and conventions. It also calls for high costs.

Hotels offer cheap rates in winter months, so plan your activities more indoors. In case you wish to spend outdoors, pack hats, mittens, heavy parka and boots, to avoid freezing. These are off-seasons and the tourists number are low allowing you to get faster all around. There will be no wait in restaurants for table or long lines at the gate of museums.

Staying a long weekend offers you the taste of the city. However, even a week's stay is not enough to cover all that the city offers. Look for downtown hotels, it works to be affordable and offers easy reach to attractions. It is best to walk to parks, various museums and attraction. Staying downtown saves time and you can steal time for more free activities. For hotel stays, start searching in advance, keep flexible dates, compare costs, browse for online deal sites, Try Airbnb or consider hostels.

Getting around places and saving money is possible if you drive. Of course, it includes paying for toll roads. In case you are put up in some downtown hotel, you will pay vehicular parking as daily fee, Megabus is a good discount travel option with low fares. There are cabs in plenty and also robust public transportation.

Again driving to attractions includes parking that is limited and you will end up wasting your time in finding a spot. Even if you happen to find, you will end up paying a premium fee. Each time you go out, there is another parking fee. In fact, public transportation offers the most affordable approach.

This article is perfect for those looking for quick tips to traveling in Boston, MA, the place where most people would say the history of America began. Below, you'll find useful tips and points to keep in mind and prepare before and during your trip to this New England peaceful paradise.

Boston Is Of Resolutions, Culture, Traditions, and History

The reason why Boston remains to be a popular tourist destination is that it is undeniably one of the most revolutionary-rich cities in the United States. Deep inside its history, there's a mishmash of tradition, culture, constructive transformations, new-found freedom, and revolutions. It was home to some of the most inspiring and forward-thinking thinkers of our time and broke barriers historically and culturally.

Here's the thing about a trip to Boston, MA – much of what you do and what you experience depends on the time of the year. The city boasts of historic indoor and outdoor shopping destinations like Faneuil Hall to make your heart skip a beat, giant ocean tanks and aquariums like the New England Aquarium, museums of fine art like the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, theaters, legendary grand homes of renamed historical and public figures strewn through its unpreceded landscape.

Easy Transit In and Out of Boston, MA

It takes less than an hour's flight from New York City and about one hour and a half from Connecticut by Amtrak. Of course, with a charter bus, making pit stops in between is a must. It offers opportunities to savor the mysteries of old towns, soak in the untainted countryside, explore uncharted landscape … and, of course, let's not forget that selfie.

Tips For Planning Your Itinerary in Boston, MA

  1. First up would be finding the most affordable and convenient flight into Logan International Airport in East Boston, Worcester Regional Airport, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport or the TF Green Airport in Warwick in neighboring Rhode Island. Ironing out how you're getting into the city will always be the most important item on your agenda.
  2. For those who are traveling in a large group , suffice to say, Charter Bus Boston would be more than happy to be at your service! Getting a group in and out of Boston would be a breeze with a bus at the ready, complete with chauffeurs and experienced staff at hand. This way, you would not be flying blind … and in this case, it would be driving blind.
  3. Where to stay in Boston, MA ? Next up would be a place to catch the important shuteye in between trips to museums and a place to call home for a while. Research reveals that staying in the mid of Boston, MA can cut a big chunk out of your budget so, if you're looking to save a buck or two, try looking for accommodation on the outskirts of Boston. The ride in and out of the metropolis may take approximately 30 to 40 minutes per trip but with a well-planned itinerary, it will not matter much. After all, it sounds like a great time to catch a quick nap on the charter bus too.
  4. Things to do in Boston, MA – planning and putting together your travel itinerary could be fun and simple if you're traveling in a small group or as a couple. However, for large groups with people of varying preferences and differences of opinion, the better idea would be to group your friends up in accordance with their interests. For instance, list down attractions categorically for the foodies, art lovers, shoppers, fitness enthusiasts, history lovers, kids and the elderly. Our tip would be to keep things flexible and loose. Having a good idea of what you want to do is different from being unable to shapeshift according to current situations. If it's raining, hiking should, needless to say, be stuck off the list. Another tip would be this – book admission tickets ahead of time and note down the opening hours.
  5. Checking the weather channel . With four very clear, distinct seasons, Boston's weather has a reputation for being more than a little dramatic. Winters sees snowfall through December right right through March; spring is growing season which means you can ditch the jacket; summers are humid but completely in control; while fall weather makes it looks like it is the best weather on earth. This is particularly important if you have young children or elderly travelers with you. Knowing what to bring ahead of time will save you a head or hunting things down in the middle of a city you're unfamiliar with.

Keeping Everyone On The Same Page, On The Same Bus

Moving around in a large group can take a toll of just about anyone and we're here to make the trip more memorable. Once you've got your trajectory planned out, get in touch with our friendly customer service personnel and we'll hook you up with the best Boston charter buses in the market. Relax in the comfort of the bus while getting the chance to bond with your fellow travelers is literally priceless in every way.

Mehrauli: A Giant Cauldron of Wonders (Part 1)

Located shortly before you reach the haunted Jamali-Kamali, a world swimming in a cross-junction of history and culture. Located shortly before you reach the haunted Jamali-Kamali, a world swimming in a cross-junction of history and culture. How else would you describe a place, which on one hand holds trinkets of history, an aura of the supernatural nearby, and on the other the modern day marvel called the Delhi Metro, next to an amalgam of faiths. Boys and Girls, and all you lovely Ladies & Gentlemen – Welcome to Mehrauli.

A multitude of roads and streets would seem roled-out in all directions, inviting one into her lair, “Come, come, come on in dearie!” (add a teeheehee in there). No really, it can be a bit of Hansel & Gretel. Somewhat a hike from the Qutub Minar at one end to the Mehrauli Bus Ud-dah and a short stroll from the Chhatarpur Metro station at the other (Andhera Mor entrance). These are the commonly known entry-points. There are several more – popping out of out-of-sight neighborhoods and pouring into the heartland of Mehrauli.

Streets apart, why visit if cartography is not your thing? Maybe history, eh eh? From the Andheria Mor entrance and a short walk, there's your Hauz-I-Shamshi or the Shamsi Talab as the locals call it. A reservoir built during the Slave Dynasty, it still catches your eyes. If you can hear it, it has a lachrymose whisper of thoughts to share. Or maybe the Jahaz Mahal, where “if” you plan your holiday calendar well, you could even end up enjoying the annual 3-day culture fest called Phoolwaalon ki Sair (September). Boy, out of nowhere, that just reminded me of the song “Sealed with a Kiss”.

What if you have a different holiday schedule? No problem, there's always a sampling of street food, which'll frequently catch your fancy from either side of the street. Kebabs, niharis, tikkas and its culinary ilk. It's business as usual if you get used in a traffic-jam there. Do not forget to pick up some of the silvery chhabeela or reddish-maroon ratanjyot as you walk on. If you have some meat to melt, a mere half-a-handy is guaranteed to be strong enough.

Beside feasting on delicious Mohammedan cuisine on offer, you may also indulge yourself in picking up a bargain. Dime a dozen, people. There are wooden-frame carvings, pretty uncommon and may well cost a fortune elsewhere in Delhi. But, if you feel you have a strong bargaining acumen, Mehrauli's the place for you. Walking ahead, you may actually find relics from your grandpa's or great grandma's era. Coal irons, and not just regular sized ones, lilliputian ones too to decorate your showcase back home. Manual lawn-mowers and a host of other oddities, Hey! What if you're out of cash? Somehow, just somehow, you have a debit card on you (any Indian bank issue) ATMs are just another short walk away.

If you are more into soaking in the experience, let the wanderer in you loose. And you can literally lose yourself! The many lanes and by-lanes will coax, cajole and beckon you to explore them, with their half drowsy gaze. A photographers delight, wherein you may snap selfies with some really old style houses in the backdrop. If that's a thing with you. A straight walk from the Andheria Mor entrance will lead you, with a bit of winded road, to the Mehrauli Bus Stand or Bus Ud-dah. And hullo? What do we have here. Another piece of history, called the Bhool-Bhulaiya (by popular claim it's a labyrinth or maze). As per historic accuracy, it's the tomb of Adham Khan son of Mughal Emperor Akbar's wet-nurse Maham Anga. That's the beauty of exploring Mehrauli. A single walk can transport you to the diverse shores history, set apart in time by centuries.

Whether you're a foodie, shopaholic, photographer or just the very-very-spirited traveler, Mehrauli has something for each one. Choose a trinket, choose a memory, or choose to lose yourself in it all. Visit Mehrauli, it is waiting for you.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS FROM THE EPIC RAMAYANA

Tales of Shri Rama and his family are popular folklore in Ayodhya. Here are some historical facts and popular stories about the city:

Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya:

Lord Rama, the 7th incarnation of Vishu, was born in Ayodhya. The Ram Janmabhoomi Temple was built as a place of worship. In 1528 AD, Babur, the Mughal emperor, ordered the demolition of the temple to build a mosque. In 1922 the mosque too was demolished. After all this, the site of the original Ayodhya temple is a place of pilgrimage for devout Hindus.

Sita Ki Rasoi:

In the north-west corner of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is a small kitchen called Sita ki Rasoi. Here, Sita cooked the first meal for her family after marrying Lord Rama and coming to Ayodhya.

Kanak Bhawan:

Kanak Bhawan means “house of gold”. The idols of Rama and Sita in this temple have crowns made of gold. It is always on the list of most popular Ayodhya places to visit .

Hanuman Garhi:

Hanuman Garhi is part of the Ayodhya tourism package even if one has to climb 70 steps to do so. The presiding deity is the monkey God Hanuman, who was a devote of Lord Rama.

Treta-Ke-Thakur (or Kaleram ka Mandir):

The idols in this temple are made of black stone. The temple was rebuilt in 1784 by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore.

Guptar Ghat:

Pilgrims believe that Lord Ram committed 'Jal Samadhi' (drowned himself) on this ghat and returned to Vaikuntha, his heavenly abode.

Ayodhya hills:

Another popular place of worship is the Sita Kund, which is a pool of fresh water in the Ayodhya Hills. Lord Rama is believed to have shot an arrow into the earth because Sita was thirsty, and the pool was formed.

OTHER TEMPLES AND ATTRACTIONS

Besides the various temples related to the Ramayana, there are other religious places in Ayodhya too.

The Nageshwarnath Temple was built by Lord Ram's son Kush. The story goes that one day Kush lost his amulet in the river Sarayu. A mythical nag-kanya (snake-damsel) returned the ornament. The damsel was a follower of Lord Shiva. As a gesture of thanks, King Kush built the Nageshwarnath temple where Lord Shiva is the main silence.

Goswami Tulsidas of Ayodhya was an enlightened soul and a saint-poet. The Tulsi Smarak Bhawan was built in his honor. Even today the Bhawan hosts prayer meetings and religious ceremonies.

Ayodhya is a place of pilgrimage for devout Hindus from all over the world and is also a popular tourist destination.

How UK Muslims Can Choose Ideal Umrah Packages for 2018

The world is ready to welcome the new year, and numerous Muslims across the United Kingdom (UK) are intending to perform their Umrah in the year 2018. While this minor pilgrimage is not as obligatory as Hajj, it is certainly a spiritual journey that Muslims would cherish in their memories forever.

The followers of Islam living in the UK have to make a long journey from their place of residence to the holy city of Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To make this journey convenient for them, many of the travel companies come up with a range of packages for Umrah every year. Not all of these packages offer the same benefits for pilgrims. It is, therefore, essential to choose such packages after considering certain key aspects:

Company

One of the most important considerations for booking Umrah packages for 2018 is choosing the right company. While there are many that claim to be the best in Hajj and Umrah tours, not all of them are truly reliable. This is especially true in case of tour operators or travel agencies that are not authorized by the Ministry of Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Only the travel agents or companies that are registered with the Hajj Ministry are authorized to organize these Islamic religious tours.

The experience of the company providing Hajj and Umrah tours must also be considered while booking the packages for Umrah. Companies that have been providing these religious tours for more than a decade can be the ideal ones to go with, as they would have the required expertise as well as experience to ensure a hassle-free Umrah.

Season

Muslims living in the UK can have the benefit of getting enough time for making all the necessary arrangements and embarking on their sacred journey of Umrah during certain holiday seasons. During the Christmas and Easter holidays, most of the offices and all the schools are closed. This would be a great opportunity for Muslim families to go for Umrah together.

Children in the family can learn more about the minor pilgrimage and all the rituals associated with it at an early age in the company of their parents. Many of the UK-based travel companies that provide Hajj and Umrah tours come up with attractive deals on Umrah packages from the UK for Christmas and Easter holidays, which can significantly reduce the overall costs involved in accomplishing the journey.
